Conducting our business in a lawful and ethical manner

At Charntec Electronics, we are deeply committed to conducting our business in a lawful and ethical manner, and this includes taking steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our business or supply chains.

  1. Our Commitment: We are unequivocally opposed to modern slavery in all its forms and are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure it is not taking place anywhere within our business or supply chains.
  2. Legislation: We fully acknowledge and respect the obligations placed on us by the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and we aim to fulfil our obligations under this legislation.
  3. Supplier Adherence: We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children.
  4. Monitoring and Compliance: We continuously monitor our business and supply chains for any potential risks and violations related to modern slavery. If any non-compliance is identified, we are committed to taking appropriate action, including but not limited to terminating our relationship with suppliers who do not uphold our standards in this regard.
  5. Training and Awareness: We provide training and resources to our staff to raise awareness about the risks of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.
  6. Transparency: We believe in transparency and make efforts to regularly update our stakeholders on our actions and progress in preventing modern slavery.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Charntec Electronics’ slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
